VitalAire referral update: Important information for healthcare professionals.

VitalAire continues to provide essential sleep services during the current health crisis. Our highest priority is the safety and well-being of our patients, employees, and the health care community. 

VitalAire clinics are open with the highest level of safety measures to protect and safeguard patients against the spread of COVID-19. We are now accepting referrals. In addition, we have adapted our services and are also offering patient support through online virtual care video appointments and phone consultations, as well as contactless delivery and pick-up. 


We are now facilitating Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) through virtual appointments and contactless delivery or pick-up of the diagnostic testing equipment. All patients will be pre-screened for COVID-19 before a HSAT test is conducted. Strict infection control procedures will be applied to all home sleep apnea testing equipment. Please use the VitalAire referral form to fax sleep patient referrals to us. 


To ensure continuity of care for existing patients and start of treatment for new sleep apnea patients, in addtion to clinic appointments, we are now offering virtual care appointments or phone consultations. All patients will be pre-screened for COVID-19 before starting them on CPAP treatment. Our virtual care appointments will be conducted by our accredited team of sleep health professionals who will ensure each patient receives the same patient-centered premium sleep care. 


During COVID-19, we are offering direct shipping of sleep therapy equipment, masks and accessories. Patients can order CPAP supplies online at or contact our Customer Service Team to place an order. CPAP products can be shipped directly to the patient or contactless pick-up can be arranged. All of our locations and phone numbers are listed on our website


We continue to offer 24/7 home oxygen services to patients and long-term healthcare customers. Disinfection measures at our sites have been increased and teams have been mobilized to ensure reliable delivery to patients. We are eliminating unnecessary close interactions with patients. Our oxygen services include: 

  • Offering virtual care oxygen setup appointments.
  • Wearing PPE for in-person visits where required. 
  • Providing contactless oxygen delivery or exchange to patients.
  • Deferring any non-essential follow-up assessments. 
  • Following the guidelines of Health Canada and other local health authorities.
