How often do I change the filter in my CPAP machine?
While using your equipment regularly, you should be replacing your CPAP machine’s filter once a month. This will ensure you are getting the most out of your therapy treatment. Here’s a tip: every time you receive an issue of SleepTalk, change your filter.

What changes can I make to my sleep habits to develop a better routine?
Developing your own sleep routine is the key to a great night’s sleep and a restful next day. Design your own sleep schedule, take fewer naps during the day and remove distractions and stimulants before bed like alcohol and electronics. Alcohol is a depressant and has sedative properties but it worsens sleep apnea and sleep quality is badly disrupted when consumed close to bed-time. Cell phones and other light emitting equipment reduce natural melatonin production and can interfere with sleep onset and quality. These are a few of the things you can do to make sure you’re on the right path to a better night’s sleep.
