ResMed’s AirSense™ 10 AutoSet™ for Her - CPAP made especially for women

It’s no secret that men and women have different anatomies. Women tend to have smaller airways and soft palate tissue as well as thinner tongues than men.

Although sleep apnea in women is still underdiagnosed, more and more women are identified as having the condition each year. As a result, leading manufacturers are designing custom CPAP machines for women suitable for unique female anatomy and comfort needs.

The most frequently prescribed therapy for adult suffers of sleep apnea is CPAP therapy. CPAP,  or continuous positive airway pressure therapy, is non-invasive air pressure applied into the airway to keep it open for breathing. An Autoset system, or APAP is a type of CPAP machine, except that it does not deliver a set, continuous pressure, but rather auto-adjusts with each breath.

Using  ResMed’s patented algorithm, the AirSense 10 For Her can respond to women's sleep apnea characteristics and comfort needs by increasing sensitivity to airflow limitation and optimizing the response to these events. By responding to each flow-limited breath, the algorithm helps provide comfortable sleep apnea therapy for women.

Integrated Humidification:

Although the unit can be used without humidification, a heated humidifier is a standard feature built in to all AirSense 10 machines. Utilizing the Climate Control's enhanced auto option, simply attach the ClimateLineAir heated tube and let your CPAP machine adjust to its surroundings for a more humidified option and an optimal level of therapy comfort. 

Connected Care: 

All AirSense 10 units come with built in wireless technology that seamlessly connects to ResMed's new cloud-based management system AirView which tracks your performance on therapy. 

AutoRamp: 

With the goal of making therapy as comfortable as possible, ResMed's AutoRamp feature is designed to deliver a low pressure that helps you fall asleep before the CPAP machine comfortably increases to its full prescribed pressure. 

Ambient Light: 

The brightness of the screen is based on the amount of light in your room.  If you need to pause your therapy during the night, the screen will stay dim.

Advanced Event Detection:

The ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet differentiates between obstructive and central apneas so you can be confident that you are always receiving appropriate therapy for what you are experiencing.

Easy-Breathe Motor:

Incorporated into the base of the machine for a quiet experience, the Easy-Breathe motor uses foam and isolating materials and sets to produce minimal turbulence with very little noise.

Screen Design and Smart Start:

The user-friendly controls, LCD and intuitive interface make it simple to use.  Smart Start enables you to begin CPAP therapy once you breathe into your mask.

Expiratory pressure relief (EPR™):

Maintains the optimal treatment for the patient during inhalation and reduces pressure during exhalation. Helps enhance comfort during CPAP therapy by decreasing your CPAP pressure during exhalation on a breath-by-breath basis.  This customizable feature provides three comfort settings to choose from.
